Here you can experience most of the 1st unit of the Physics4Homeschool curriculum. As you will see below, every unit in the curriculum is fully outlined so that it's easy to know exactly what assignments should be done each day to pace yourself through the course. Each and every question is thoroughly explained in videos that follow each assignment. In the sample below, I have created hyperlinks for you to download (and print) the assignments, view the answer keys and watch the videos.

Here's a word of warning! You have access to many of the answer keys (but not the tests). For example, in Day 3's lesson plan you will find the answer key for Day 2's assignments. While working on Day 2's assignments do not prematurely consult the answer keys found in Day 3. You need to struggle a bit! Of course, AFTER struggling if you cannot figure out a particular question feel free to look ahead to the answer key or video for a bit of help. But don't take shortcuts! You know what I mean :)

Day 1

1. We are going to begin with an introductory video. Please watch the video below:


2. Today we are going to begin learning the first two learning objectives for Unit 1. Please see the Unit 1 Learning Objectives sheet and read the first two objectives.
Today's assignment is PhysicsQuest 1: Distance vs. Displacement. Please download it. Do the best you can! If you get stuck, don't worry! Tomorrow you will be able to check out the answer key and watch an explanation video.
3. Re-read today's objectives and make sure you're beginning to understand them!

Day 2

1. Today we are continuing learning the first two learning objectives for Unit 1. Please see the Unit 1 Learning Objectives sheet and re-read the first two objectives. Next, view the answer key for yesterday's assignment. Below is a video that explains every single question. Watch as much of it as you need to!

2. On today's assignment you will have the chance to practice what you learned during PhysicsQuest 1. Please make sure that you have a decent understanding of PhysicsQuest 1 before proceeding to today's assignment! When you feel ready, please complete today's assignment, Skill Practice 1.
3. Hopefully after today you are feeling more and more confident on the first two learning objectives. Tomorrow you will check your answers to Skill Practice 1 and move on to the next learning objective.

Day 3

1. Check your answers to yesterday's assignment using the answer key. (Click here.) You can also watch the video below that explains every question. Watch as much of it or as little of it as you need to!


2. Today we are moving on to Learning Objective #3. Please read this objective on the Unit 1 Learning Objectives Sheet. Today's assignment is PhysicsQuest 2: Speed and Velocity. Complete the assignment. Tomorrow you will have a chance to check your answers and watch a video that explains every question. Put in your best effort today!
3. Re-read today's objective and make sure you are learning it!

Day 4

3. The last thing for today is Skill Practice 3. The goal of this assignment is to become more of an expert at converting units.

Day 7

4. The goal of today's PhysicsQuest is to make sure you understand the properties of good graphs. In future lessons we will be graphing position vs. time and velocity vs. time (see Objectives #5 and #6). Today's assignment, PhysicsQuest 4, will make sure we are ready for all the graphing to come! Please compete PhysicsQuest 4: Graphing.
